A campaign to get Verge on Coinbase receives thousands of signatures

A Change.org petition to Get Verge on Coinbase has quickly gathered momentum.

At the time of press, the campaign has received almost 17,000 signatures out of its goal of 25,000.

The petition was set up by “Marko K” four months and was initially off to a slow start.

The history shows it initially reached 2500 but then fell inactive shortly after.

The recent excitement around Verge partnering with Pornhub and Brazzers owner, Mindgeek, seems to have reignited the project.

In the days following the announcement earlier this week, the petition jumped to 15,000 signatures.

Getting Verge on Coinbase would be an obvious win for holders of the digital currency.

Allowing people to purchase Verge XVG using fiat currency from the leading US-based exchange would also open the doors to new users.

The description in the campaign says:

What is verge?

Verge Currency is a cryptocurrency designed for everyday use. It improves upon the original Bitcoin blockchain and aims to fulfill its initial purpose of providing individuals and businesses with a fast, efficient and decentralized way of making direct transactions while maintaining personal privacy.

Our goal?

To get verge coin on the Coinbase exchange and by doing so mutually benefiting its users by allowing them to trade Fiat to XVG, and coinbase by making their platform more appealing to the larger crypto market.

If you share this vision, please share this petition with friends and share it on Coinbase’s social media.

Could we see Verge on Coinbase?

Coinbase is notoriously picky when it comes to adding cryptos to their platform.

Currently, they allow users to purchase and trade Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, and Litecoin.

The latest addition to the Coinbase platform was Bitcoin Cash (BCH), which saw prices skyrocket as a result.

Undoubtedly, any new digital assets would benefit from an inclusion on the exchange.

Supporters of the currency have clearly been hoping to see Verge on Coinbase for some time.

It has previously seemed somewhat unlikely that Coinbase would include a relatively unknown altcoin on the platform, however.

With the recent hype surrounding XVG though, seeing Verge on Coinvase doesn’t seem quite so unrealistic anymore.

In the world of crypto, anything is possible.
